Summary:
We are currently seeking a System Architect, Clinical Platform to help implement complex information systems and networked software architectures aligned with IT strategies, business operations, and clinical workflows. In this role, you will set technology direction, ensure compliance with project goals, and leverage technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage scalable solutions. This role requires broad experience across the software development life cycle and expertise in modern software engineering principles for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications demonstrating technical knowledge and competency.
Experience:
- 10 years of experience in roles such as architect, project manager, or developer.
- Strong background in diverse software architectures, programming languages, and design patterns.
- Proven skills in solution definition and problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with computer networks and IT security practices.
- Expertise in cloud computing technologies and platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain business process flows, value stream maps, and reference architectures.
- Design end-to-end solution processes and generate technical documentation, including time and cost estimates and implementation requirements.
- Lead the modernization of laboratory information systems (LIMS) for wet lab operations.
- Enhance bioinformatics architecture using high-performance computing (HPC) and cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee integration of bioinformatics pipelines into a hybrid cloud platform.
- Modernize dry lab information systems (LIS).
- Support infrastructure upgrades for clinical insights curation and tertiary analysis platforms.
- Design and implement upgrades to scientific and clinical data lakehouse platforms.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical diagnostics environment, working closely with geneticists, bioinformaticians, software engineers, and IT teams.
