Job Description:
As a Tour Guide at Bike the Gorge, you will have the opportunity to showcase the stunning beauty of the Columbia River Gorge to visitors from around the world. We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team from May 1 through October 18 on a part-time or full-time basis. If you have a love for the outdoors, enjoy interacting with people, and have a knack for storytelling, this is the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead guided bike and e-bike tours through the Columbia River Gorge, providing historical and cultural insights along the way
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants at all times
- Assist with bike maintenance and equipment set-up for tours
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any questions or concerns from tour participants
- Uphold the values and mission of Bike the Gorge by demonstrating superior environmental stewardship and care for the community
Requirements:
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification (must include in-person training)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the Gorge area and willingness to learn more
- Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time and in various weather conditions, especially heat and bright sunshine
- Previous experience in customer service or tourism is a plus
