Our client is a private, nonprofit acute care community hospital serving twenty-two communities in a two-county area in the rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Located on 30 acres in a quiet, easily accessible part of the city, it blends medical expertise and technology with a genuine concern for people. In addition to a population base of over 27,000 residents, the hospital provides care to the many area visitors, summer vacationers, skiers and other sportsmen.
They have engaged us to find them a Hospitalist to care for their expanding patient population.
Extend the services of the North Country Hospitalists by providing comprehensive health assessments, determining diagnosis, plans and prescribing treatments and managing health care regimens in collaboration with and under the direct supervision of the Hospitalist. This role will include working with patients from the time of their admission to the hospital through the discharge of the patient and the effective hand-off of the patient back to the primary care physician.
Hospitalist Program : Staff of full-time Hospitalist, augmented with on-call hospitalists and weekend staff.
Patient Load : Average daily census is 17
Employment Status : Hospital employed
Schedule : Shift Schedule : 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm; Call Schedule : NA
Experience Required :
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an advanced practitioner
