Primary Care PA NP Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Our client is a private, nonprofit acute care community hospital serving twenty-two communities in a two-county area in the rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Located on 30 acres in a quiet, easily accessible part of the city, it blends medical expertise and technology with a genuine concern for people. In addition to a population base of over 27,000 residents, the hospital provides care to the many area visitors, summer vacationers, skiers and other sportsmen.
They have engaged us to find them a Primary Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Pracitioner to care for thier expanding patient population.
Responsible for providing care to all patients, including history and physical examinations, patient education, diagnosing and treating common ailments, and stabilizing emergencies prior to transit to hospital.
Job Requirements :
- Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners or physicians assistants.
- Appropriate licensing / registration. Preferably 3-5 years of experience, with emphasis on family care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, other health care providers, and parents.
Practice guidelines will be reviewed, mutually agreed upon, and signed annually by the APRN or PA and the collaborating physician and placed on file in the work place.
