Job Summary:
A school district in Santa Ana is hiring a full-time Credentialed School Nurse (CSN). Registered Nurses (RNs) with the appropriate credentials will also be considered. This on-site, itinerant position covers four campuses and 14 classrooms serving middle school to transition-age students, many with high behavioral or medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and manage the health needs of 14 special education classrooms
Supervise three LVNs (two 1:1, one float)
Communicate with families and healthcare providers
Document in Aeries (medical records) and SEIS (student data)
Coordinate care for one medically fragile classroom
Collaborate with health aide-trained staff
Requirements:
Valid California RN license (required)
California Pupil Services Credential with School Nurse Authorization (required)
Experience with special education or medically complex students preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
