Special Education Teacher - Ashville, Alabama
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 5/23/24
Hours/Days: Full-Time
Student Population: Elementary
Caseload: 11-12 Students, Self-Contained K-3, working toward the AAS (Alternative Achievement Standards)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and instruction to students in a self-contained classroom.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure students success.
- Monitor and assess student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama Special Education Teacher Certification (K-6 or appropriate endorsement).
- Experience working with self-contained classrooms and students with disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Strong communication skills and dedication to student growth.
Position Details:
- Classroom: Self-contained K-3 students with AAS goals.
- Hours per Week: Full-Time
- Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience.
