Job Title: Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Employment Period: August 13, 2024 May 23, 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 2:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Special Education Teacher for the 2023/2024 school year. This role spans across NB Mills Elementary and Troutman Middle/Elementary Schools. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting students with special needs in both an Autism (AU) classroom and an adapted curriculum setting, focusing on academic achievement and meeting IEP goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct student assessments and testing.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Deliver specialized instruction in both Autism and Adapted Curriculum classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success.
• Track and document progress toward IEP goals.
• Provide support to students in elementary and middle school settings.

Caseload Details:

• (2) AU Classroom Teachers NB Mills Elementary and Troutman Middle School.
• (1) Adapted Curriculum Teacher Troutman Elementary School, focusing on academic instruction and IEP goal attainment for students with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Special Education teaching certification in North Carolina.
• Experience with Autism and Adapted Curriculum classrooms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and implementation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
