Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. This role is essential in supporting teachers and students within the classroom environment, particularly in private school settings and special education programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to communicate effectively, manage classroom dynamics, and provide individualized support to students, including those with autism.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to student needs.
- Provide support in classroom management to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Work closely with students, offering guidance in subjects such as math and other academic areas.
- Facilitate toddler care when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of younger students.
- Help educate students with special needs by adapting materials and instructional strategies.
- Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student progress and any challenges faced.
- Participate in lesson planning sessions to contribute ideas for effective teaching strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and motivation in learning.
Qualifications
- Experience or training in special education or working with children with autism is preferred.
- Strong skills in math and the ability to assist students with academic tasks.
