ASL Interpreter Issaquah, Washington

We're looking for a part-time ASL Interpreter to support a 7th grade student with mild hearing loss in Issaquah, WA. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to make a significant difference in a students education by ensuring communication access. Responsibilities :

Provide 1 : 1 ASL interpretation for a medically fragile student with mild hearing loss.
Travel between two school sites (if onsite), ensuring smooth communication throughout the day.
Work closely with the student and staff to promote educational success.
Ensure accurate, clear interpretation for classroom activities and communication.

Qualifications :

EIPA with a minimum score of 4.0 OR NIC Certification .

Passing score on the EIPA written test .

Experience with ASL interpretation and working with students.

Washington State ASL Interpreter Certification preferred.

Onsite preferred , but virtual candidates will be considered.

Position Details :

Location : Issaquah, WA (Travel between two school sites required if onsite)

Hours per Week : Up to 19.5 hours

Dates : ASAP 06 / 18 / 2024

Weekly Pay : Competitive, based on experience

Benefits : Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision , and 401K plan .

Contract Duration : Current school year with the possibility to extend for summer school and 2024-2025 school year.
