Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Montgomery, AL
Were excited to find dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team in Montgomery, AL! This is a wonderful opportunity to support students in developing their communication skills and achieving success in the classroom.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 2025, with the potential for extension into the next school year.
- Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Caseload: Mixed age group, primarily elementary students.
- Work Locations: 3-4 school sites in the Montgomery area.
- Number of Openings: 2 positions available.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Follow individualized treatment plans to help students progress toward their goals.
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support students needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Assist SLPs with assessments and therapy material preparation.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or a related field.
- Current Alabama SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
