Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Needed in St. Paul MN
Bilingual Therapies is seeking a passionate Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) this current school year for a contract position located in St Paul, MN.
Qualifications:
- Active NM SLI Licensure
- At least 2 years of school experience required
- Must pass drug screen and background check upon offer
Job Details:
- 2024-2025 school year
- Full Time (37.5 hours/week)
- Onsite / W2
Responsibilities include:
- Interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) during classroom instruction
- Bridge the communication gap between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and other school personnel
- Serve as cultural and linguistic mediators, helping to bridge any cultural gaps between the deaf or hard of hearing student and their hearing peers and educators
