We are currently seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to join our team in Plaistow, NH. Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Plaistow, NH
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success and progress towards academic goals.
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessments and data collection, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development as outlined in students' IEPs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid New Hampshire state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a K-12 educational setting.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (hours may vary)
