Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) McHenry, IL
Make a Difference in the Lives of Young Learners!
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and make an impact at an elementary school in McHenry. This is a full-time position with a dynamic team where you'll help provide support services to students while fostering communication skills and speech development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services to elementary school students.
- Supervise and collaborate with an SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) on the team.
- Coordinate and contribute to diagnostic teams and educational planning/placement committees.
- Serve as a resource for staff to develop balanced programs for speech improvement.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement therapy suggestions into daily activities.
Qualifications:
- License: PEL (Professional Educator License) in Illinois required.
- Endorsement: Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist Teaching or Non-Teaching Endorsement.
- Language Skills: Fluent in both oral and written Spanish.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Prior experience with school-aged children is preferred.
Position Details:
- Classroom: Elementary school setting, bilingual students.
- Hours per Week: Full-Time.
- Contract Duration: ASAP May 22, 2025.
Weekly Pay: Competitive salary based on experience.
