Position Overview
Production Operator (Smokehouse)
Bilinski's Sausage Mfg. Co. is seeking a Production Operator (Smokehouse) for our fully cooked chicken sausage manufacturing operation in Cohoes, NY
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Rolling large carts of hanging sausages (weighing ~500 lbs) into and out of our Kitchen & Processing Areas
- Tracking and recording oven cook times and temperatures
- Tracking and recording chill down time and temperatures
- Rotating racks of product efficiently to keep pace with our assembly and production lines
- Coordinating with the room supervisor on the schedule for the day
- Cleaning and inspecting the Kitchen and Smokehouse areas before and after daily production
- Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions
- Ability to fill in other key positions (such as spice blending) as needed
Rate: $23/hour (includes shift differential for Saturday work) going to $24/hr after 90 days (probationary period).
Benefits: Paid time off, medical & dental insurance and Simple IRA match are available
Hours: 6am-4pm plus mandatory overtime as the daily schedule requires. Must be able to work a Saturday shift.
NOTE: We have a no facial hair policy and no jewelry policy for all production and warehouse positions
