Position Overview:
The Systems Administrator will manage and support the daily operational requirements of computer network systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers. The ideal candidate will handle the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of network hardware and software, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with cybersecurity standards. This role also involves training staff, assisting end-users, maintaining system documentation, and ensuring network security protocols are up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support computer network systems (workstations, file servers, and web servers).
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and system upgrades.
- Manage network accounts, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Troubleshoot and maintain network security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Design, update, and maintain web pages and interfaces.
- Develop and maintain local system design documentation.
- Train staff on applicable software and provide end-user IT support.
- Monitor system configurations (hardware and software) to ensure proper functionality and security.
- Ensure compliance with Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives, including maintaining current certifications as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Experience: 7 years of professional experience in systems administration.
- Certifications: Must comply with Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives and maintain relevant certifications as required by the position.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong understanding of network security tools and practices.
- Proficiency in installing and managing hardware and software systems.
- Experience in web design, interface development, and maintenance.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
