Bill Austin and Associates is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to manage and support our daily operational requirements of computer network systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network security tools and practices and possess 3 years of professional experience in systems administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering and supporting computer network systems (workstations, file servers, and web servers).
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and system upgrades.
- Managing network accounts, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Troubleshooting and maintaining network security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Designing, updating, and maintaining web pages and interfaces.
- Developing and maintaining local system design documentation.
- Training staff on applicable software and providing end-user IT support.
- Monitoring system configurations (hardware and software) to ensure proper functionality and security.
Qualifications - Education and Experience:
Education:
- MINIMUM - Associates Degree related to Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- PREFERRED - Bachelor's level degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
Experience:
- 3 years of professional experience in systems administration.
Additional Requirements:
- Security clearance is required.
