Job Summary :
The Automotive Technician Internship at Bill Dube Ford Toyota is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in the auto industry for individuals pursuing a career as a Technician. This full-time, hourly internship is located in Dover, New Hampshire and will allow the intern to develop their skills and knowledge through on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced technicians. This individual contributor role will provide an opportunity for growth and advancement within the company.
Compensation & Benefits :
The Automotive Technician Intern will be compensated at an hourly rate based on their level of experience and skill set. In addition, the intern will have access to Ford and Toyota training programs, as well as other industry-specific training resources. The intern may also be eligible for benefits such as healthcare, 401k, and paid time off, depending on their length of employment.
Responsibilities :
- Work closely with experienced technicians to learn and perform routine maintenance and repairs on Ford and Toyota vehicles
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and computer systems in vehicles
- Assist with completing service orders and maintaining thorough records of work performed
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of services
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and participation in training programs
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
