Throughout our 40 years in business, we have catered for thousands of couples, celebrities, Fortune 500 firms, political and religious leaders, and more. We are looking for our newest Sales Assistant & Event Coordinator to join our team.
The Event Coordinator will be paired with a leading Event Producer, providing support throughout the event planning process. This is a full-time, daytime position based out of Miami with occasional driving to other locations throughout South Florida and evening/weekend hours if needed. The Event Coordinator will be paired with a leading Event Producer, providing support throughout the event planning process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating details of upcoming events, including menu selection, décor/rental decisions, venue specifications, event layout, etc.
- Communicating updates and changes to other departments in a timely manner.
- Collecting vendor invoices and submitting to Accounting for payment.
- Participating in department and company meetings.
- Answering client calls and emails promptly.
- Attending client tastings, meetings and events as needed.
- Processing client payments as needed.
- Preparing or revising client proposals as needed.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills. English required, bilingual in Spanish preferred. Other languages a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eager to provide excellent service at all times.
- Outstanding organizational skills & attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Reliable transportation – ability to drive to venues throughout South Florida as needed.
- Knowledge of Tripleseat, QuickBooks and AllSeated a plus.
