Assistant manager of vehicle inspections
Bill Luke Auto Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager in our Vehicle Inspection department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality control, and supporting the Manager in achieving department goals.
We process between 1200-2000 cars per month making this a very high pace position. We are a production-based organization that is looking for a candidate that thrives in efficient logistical operations.
Hours: Full Time, Hours Vary
Salary: $65,000-$70,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in overseeing all aspects of vehicle inspections, including pre-purchase, post-purchase, and in-service inspections.
- Train and supervise a team of Vehicle Inspectors and photographers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
- Monitor daily inspection schedules, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new inspection procedures and quality control measures.
- Identify and resolve any safety or compliance issues promptly.
- Prepare reports on inspection findings, maintenance costs, and other relevant data.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient vehicle reconditioning.
- Assist the Manager in managing the department budget and controlling costs.
- Participate in safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in supervising and training teams.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Knowledge of previous paint work and repairs is a must.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
