Responsibilities:
- Open and close store as directed by, or in the absence of manager or assistant manager.
- Answer telephones courteously and promptly.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Assist with handling customer complaints.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain paperwork in a clean, orderly fashion.
- Process all paperwork as jobs are completed.
- Assist in scheduling of customer vehicles.
- Describe customer's requests and symptoms accurately and legibly on repair orders.
- Suggest additional repairs or services without over-selling.
Skills:
- One years experience with sales in the automotive industry.
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive service environment
- Strong service writing skills, including the ability to accurately document vehicle issues and repair recommendations
- Knowledge of auto service repair processes and techniques
- Sales skills to effectively communicate with customers and upsell additional services
- Familiarity with aligning vehicles and performing other automotive service tasks
- Mechanical knowledge to understand and explain repairs to customers
- Knowledge of shocks, struts, and suspension systems is beneficial
- Understanding of automotive sales processes is a plus
