Painter

Job Summary
We are a small family business working locally in Brevard County, primarily in the Melbourne and beachside areas, seeking a skilled painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience primarily in residential repaints. This role involves restoring, maintaining, and enhancing the appearance of structures through high-quality painting work. The painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a clean and professional finish. We also perform all phases of drywall installation, finish and texture. We seek someone ready to help with drywall work but not expected to lead or to be greatly experienced.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Apply paint and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Restore and maintain existing painted surfaces to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
• Utilize power tools as needed for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience in residential painting; interior and exterior.
• Familiarity with drywall repair and maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. All hand and power tools provided by employer.
• Excellent attention to detail and neatness with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
