What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Bill's Distributing, Ltd?
Summary:
The person in this position performs a variety of accounting and administrative functions as well as answers our multi-line phone system and direct visitors accordingly. This individual must be efficient, be able to multi-task and is comfortable being a part of a team. Completion of workload in an accurate and timely manner is key.
Essential Job Functions
- Processes daily cash and check A/R postings, EFT/ACH/credit card payments as needed
- Bills back monthly promotions, samples and misc supplier supported expenses
- Completes weekly cash deposits for B4U Vending
- Performs monthly inventory count and calculation for B4U Vending
- Invoices special event packing slips and billings
- Emails statements and invoices to customers per regular schedule and as requested
- Receives, sorts and distributes mail
- Assists with answering incoming calls and directing company guests as appropriate
- Reconciles truck loads when the accounting assistant is absent
- Provides reports and other data to departments as needed
- Regularly attends work as scheduled
- Performs data entry and other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in accounting and 1-3 years’ experience preferred

- Professional demeanor, with the ability to communicate effectively with other departments.
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/move case product or materials, up to 30 lbs rarely
- Ability to use hands for phone or computer work; reach with hands and arms for various activities; sit frequently or for extended periods
Working Conditions/Environment

- Typical office environment while working on site

· Salary starts at $45,000-$55,000
