Bill’s Distributing, Ltd. is an industry leader in beverage distribution. We are a family owned and operated company since 1954 and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Inventory Controller. The person in this role is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the product procurement process; including product ordering, brewery communications, and effectively interfacing with other internal departments regarding inventory status.

Summary: Responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the product procurement process; including product ordering, supplier communications, and effectively interfacing with other internal departments regarding inventory status.

Essential Job Functions

• Forecasts and places product orders for all assigned suppliers
• Prepares daily sales and inventory procurement reports, updating inventory status as needed.
• Monitors reports and other information from Supplier Portals
• Reports sales and inventory data via Budget, SRS, and other Supplier portals
• Monitors and enters LOW orders
• Prepares monthly inventory depletion reports, as needed
• Assists with matching invoices to bill of lading and submits to accounting
• Coordinates product transfers between other distributors
• Maintains accurate product cost in VIP software
• Enters purchase orders into computer systems and may enter receipts in computer systems as required
• Updates changes to current scheduling and load delivery status, as scheduling changes occur
• Assists in the monitoring of product code dates and proper product rotation in the warehouse
• Provides information and feedback for monthly inventory report
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent in education and experience
• Inventory procurement experience preferred

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer software skills, including MS Excel, Outlook and inventory software applications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/move case product or materials, up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Ability to use hands for phone or computer work; reach with hands and arms for various activities; sit frequently or for extended periods

Working Conditions/Environment

• Typical office environment while working on site
