Bakery Counter/Cashier - Windy Ridge Bakery

DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a high quality, highly motivated, year round Counter Cashier for our high-volume bakery. This position greets and assists customers with compiling and ringing up orders of our sweet and savory goods. Additional duties include assisting with baking and keeping all cases, fridges, and freezers stocked. Pay rate will be determined by previous experience, skill level, and attitude- plus, lots of opportunity for tips!

This is a year round position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform cashier duties as assigned. Accept payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and provide a receipt to every customer.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills will be beneficial in this fast-paced position.

· Responsible for greeting guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner.

· Welcome customers, answer questions, provide advice or recommendations.

· Must take pride in the workplace by keeping it clean, comfortable, and safe for your coworkers and guests to enjoy.

· Contribute to the fun, positive work environment.

· Opportunity to learn different baking and preparation techniques

· Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

· Regular attendance and on-time to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job

· Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Applicants must be proficient in English

· Restaurant experience recommended but not required

· Strong organization and active listening skills

· The ability to work on your feet for most of the day

· In-depth knowledge of food sanitation and safety policies

· Food Handlers Permit
