What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-term Substitute 6th Gr. Social Studies Teacher position at Billerica Public Schools?
We are seeking a long-term substitute for 6th-grade social studies until the end of the school year. The daily rate of pay is $120.00. The job responsibilities include :
- A strong background knowledge in teaching reading and writing.
- Use various methods of instruction to differentiate for all students.
- Prepare lesson plans, homework, assignments, tests, etc. to support curriculum goals.
- Develop classroom standards to maintain student discipline and behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents on student concerns and academic performance.
- Work with a team to determine student learning and behavioral concerns.
- Establish learning goals and objectives.
- Perform all duties in a professional manner.
- Actively support a positive school culture for all members of the community.
- Plan intensely and thoughtfully and collaborate with other content area and grade level teachers.
- Commitment to Locke Middle School's mission, vision and Core Values. Preferred candidate should be licensed as a Social Studies teacher with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
