Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing them for further testing and analysis in a clinical laboratory setting.
Duties
- Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens
- Label, process, and prepare blood samples for testing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner during the blood collection process
- Utilize knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques to ensure accurate specimen collection processing
- Apply aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety
Requirements
- Valid Auto Insurance
- AZ Level One Fingerprint Card (Applicable if applying in Arizona only)
- CPR or BLS Certification
- Valid TB Test (Skin test within the last year or x-ray within the last five years)
- Certification in Phlebotomy or relevant field
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques
- Strong understanding of physiology and vital signs
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations
- Excellent patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques related to specimen collection and processing
