Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

BillGO is revolutionizing the payments industry with the largest and fastest-growing open biller network for consumer and business payments. Our solutions and our Virtual Credit Card Issuing Platform—provide businesses with fast, secure, and digital-first payment experiences. 

As we scale, we seek a VP, Product to lead our product vision, execution, and expansion. This leader will drive the growth of our two-sided network (Payment Aggregators & Billers) while transforming our Virtual Credit Card Issuing Platform to onboard companies that want to issue Virtual Credit Cards for their customer payments. 

The VP of Product Management will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy and the Virtual Credit Card Issuing Platform. This leader will drive adoption, enhance product capabilities, and ensure our platforms deliver scalable, efficient, and industry-leading solutions. 

 

HOW YOU’LL ADD VALUE

  • Product Leadership: Proven Track record of executing and scaling high performing payment systems with focus on B2B and C2B Payments. 

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision for the platform, aligning it with BillGO’s strategic goals and addressing the needs of micro to small businesses in the receivables space. 

  • Hands-On Execution: Engage deeply with the platform’s lifecycle, from overseeing the initial implementation to driving feature development and addressing day-to-day challenges. 

  • Platform Oversight: Provide strategic and operational leadership specifically for the integrated cloud-based receivables platform, ensuring it meets the needs of B2B and C2B clients and drives business growth. 

  • Two-Sided Network Expansion:  

  • Expand & Scale: Set and execute growth strategy for our payments network, driving adoption among customers. 

  • Optimize & Innovate: Enhance platform efficiency, develop new product features, and ensure a frictionless experience for all participants. 

  • AI & Automation: Leverage data-driven insights to optimize routing, reduce costs, and improve transaction success rates. 

  • Issuing Platform Transformation: 

  • Experience managing and enhancing Issuing platform. 

  • Experience handling partnerships with Card networks such as Visa and Mastercard.  

  • Best-in-Class Architecture & Capabilities: Design a highly scalable, secure, and flexible platform that supports various use cases and payment flows. 

  • Ensure platform is cutting-edge, compliant, and optimized for digital-first experiences. 

  • AI & Innovation for growth 

  • AI-First Product Strategy: Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to optimize payments, automate decision-making, and reduce operational overhead. 

  • Intelligent Routing & Optimization: Use AI-driven algorithms to improve payment success rates, reduce costs, and enhance speed for both aggregators and billers. 

  • Automation & Efficiency: Implement AI-powered automation across customer onboarding, fraud detection, and reconciliation to scale without increasing resources. 

  • Predictive Analytics & Personalization: Develop AI models to predict payment behaviors, enhance risk management, and deliver smarter user experiences. 

  • Conversational AI & Self-Service: Utilize AI chatbots and virtual assistants to enhance customer and partner engagement while reducing manual support needs. 

  • Security, Risk, Compliance & Fraud Prevention 

  • Security-First Mindset: Embed security-first principles into all product designs and feature developments, ensuring data privacy, encryption, and secure transactions. 

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS, Nacha, FFIEC, CFPB, OCC, GDPR, and other applicable financial regulations. 

  • Fraud Prevention & Risk Management: Leverage AI and data analytics to detect fraud, minimize chargebacks, and proactively manage risks across the payments ecosystem. 

  • KYC & AML Enhancements: Work with compliance teams to strengthen Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and identity verification processes. 

  • Incident Response & Resilience: Establish product strategies to mitigate security breaches, minimize fraud risks, and enhance platform resilience. 

  • Audit & Governance: Ensure products maintain auditability, transparency, and reporting to meet regulatory and risk requirements. 

  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution 

  • Work closely with internal teams, partners, and clients to gather feedback during the implementation phase and ensure the platform’s features meet client needs. 

  • Product-Led Growth: Develop strategies to increase adoption and engagement across all platforms. 

  • Customer-Centric Innovation: Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into innovative product solutions. 

  • Drive Revenue & Efficiency: Ensure products contribute to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and competitive differentiation. 

  • Roadmap Development: Build and maintain a focused product roadmap, prioritizing enhancements based on customer feedback, market needs, and business goals. 

  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, sales, engineering, operations and account teams to develop go-to-market strategies to support the successful launch, adoption, and growth of the receivables platform. 

  • Metrics & Performance: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the implementation and ongoing success of the platform, with a focus on customer satisfaction and product usage. 

  • Innovation & Growth: Lead the expansion and enhancement of the platform’s capabilities, driving innovation and future growth based on market demands and client feedback. 

 

Qualifications


WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT: 

  • Experience: 10 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience leading B2B and C2B product initiatives in fintech or payments, particularly with cloud-based receivables platforms. 

  • Proven experience in scaling B2B two-sided payments networks and scaling Issuing platforms. Expertise in real-time payments, Virtual Cards, ACH, and B2B payments. 

  • Proven AI expertise with a strong background in leveraging AI/ML for automation, optimization, and predictive analytics. 

  • Deep understanding of security, risk, fraud prevention, and financial regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, Nacha, AML, KYC). 

  • Growth mindset with a passion for driving innovation and business transformation. 

  • Strong technical acumen with experience working alongside engineering teams.  

  • Hands-On Leadership: Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, especially during the acquisition and implementation of a new platform. Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and execution skills. 

  • Acquisition & Integration Experience: Proven experience in product acquisition and the successful integration of new platforms into existing product suites. 

  • B2B and C2B Expertise: Deep understanding of the needs of micro to small businesses, particularly in the payments and receivables ecosystem. 

  • Market Knowledge: Knowledge of the payments landscape, including digital payments, cloud-based platforms, and emerging financial technologies. 

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience using data to inform product decisions and measure success. 

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, influencing teams across departments to achieve business outcomes. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position includes supervisory responsibilities over individual contributors (ICs) and is expected to mentor and guide team members throughout the platform’s implementation phase. Additionally, the VP will need to influence and lead cross-functional teams that may not report directly to them. 

Salary : $175,000 - $250,000
