What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Billings Animal Family Hospital?
Job description
We are looking to bring on a new team member in the capacity of a customer service representative (a.k.a. receptionist extraordinaire). Our CSRs are our lifeline to our clients and patients. You are the first voice they hear and the smiling face they see. You form the trust that is so needed in this amazing profession. What we are really looking for is just the right person to fit into our practice culture. Are you okay having a hurricane swarming around you but keeping your cool? Can you handle the most outrageous questions with poise and ease? Can you multitask like a superhero? Can you laugh at yourself and laugh with the clients and your co-workers? Do you often strike up conversations with people in line at the grocery store?
- If you fit the above description…and the below as well, please put together a resume telling us why you would be an amazing fit with our team! Responsibilities (day-to-day activities include but are not limited to):
- Learn and utilize practice software
- Schedule patients appropriately to allow for proper flow.
- Manage incoming calls.
- Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
- Meet personal/customer service team sales targets and call handling quotas
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
- Go the extra mile to engage customers
- Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. The will to grow and learn (no day is the same!). Ability to hold great conversation with almost complete strangers (a.k.a. an out-going person who loves people!). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. And of course, you should love dogs and cats…we love them too
- PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT an animal caretaking position. This position is only for veterinary reception and there will be no opportunity for working with the animals in a veterinary assistant position. Please do not apply if you want to work hands-on with the patients or think this position will eventually lead to an assistant position.
