- Montana Educators License endorsed in Elementary K-8, or endorsed in School Counseling, or endorsed in a related field is required. Classroom management/behavior management training is preferred. Valid Driver’s License and access to personal transportation during the day is required.

- Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements in the course of working with children with challenging behavior. Training is provided.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Provide assistance and ongoing training to staff in the design and implementation of personalized student behavioral intervention plans and other areas associated with Tier 1 classroom management systems and behavioral intervention strategies to promote a healthy classroom environment and effective planning, organization, and implementation of strategies for optimum behavior outcomes.
2.
Work with students, parents, and staff in developing behavior plans, based on collected data, to address identified behaviors. Help students assume responsibility for their own self-regulation and behavior.
3.
Work with students and parents/guardians to develop cooperative and trusting relationships with the teacher, school, and community resources. This includes establishing lines of communication between the home and school, and understanding the importance of daily school attendance.
4.
Collaborate and maintain frequent communication with parents, school and district administration, and community professionals in ensuring students are receiving the supports needed to be successful. This may include assisting in coordinating access to community services for families.
5.
Design and implement a fair and equitable referral process that is consistently applied in all schools. Collect and maintain data pertinent to the scope of the job, including an annual report documenting the program services and data showing results of services.
6.
If serving as a teacher in a transitional classroom setting, work with community professionals, the District team, and building administrator(s) in the design and implementation of an effective transitional learning classroom environment for elementary students.
7.
Follow BPS policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies. Exercise fiscal responsibility with any given annual budget. Be able to drive and access all district buildings as necessary during the day.
8.
Attend pertinent professional development opportunities.
9.
Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational requirements.
