Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various mechanical and electrical systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and ensure proper functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot equipment problems effectively.
- Knowledge of boiler systems, will give preference for person with Boiler License.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Document maintenance activities and report on the status of repairs or improvements.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks is advantageous.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for effective problem-solving.
- Previous leadership experience is a plus, showcasing the ability to manage tasks and coordinate with team members.
- A proactive approach to maintaining equipment and facilities, ensuring minimal downtime.
