Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that meet the needs of all students.
- Teach a variety of physical activities, including team sports, individual sports, fitness exercises, and health education.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and teamwork.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as sports teams or fitness clubs.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate health and wellness concepts into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student development and program updates.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in Physical Education (as required by state regulations).(PEL)
- Strong knowledge of physical education principles, practices, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Experience in coaching or leading sports teams is a plus but not required.
