Bilstein CRS is a rapidly growing cold rolled strip supplier in North America and a part of the Bilstein Group in Hagen, Germany. The organization is over 112 years old and has been widely successful in the European market since its inception. Our goal is to market the organization with integrity to effectively add value to our rapidly growing customer base in North America.
The responsibility of the business development representative will be to increase opportunities for the Bilstein CRS organization to increase volume. The Bilstein CRS sales process will be followed in order to properly prioritize opportunities and focus efforts on the clients with the “best fit” for the organization.
Position Requirements
- Experience working in the steel industry, preferably cold rolled strip
- Willingness to learn and maintain CRM database
- Knowledge of business processes and sales techniques preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Portrays Bilstein positively in the market at all time
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Willingness to travel to Bowling Green and facilitate plant tours and attend sales workshops 2 times per quarter
Responsibilities
- Performs high-level discovery outbound calls
- Conduct deep market research to identify key decision-makers
- Facilitates email campaigns
- Schedules introductory appointments for in-person or Teams meetings
- Utilizes sales tools to give detailed information to prospective clients
- Assists in defining sales initiatives
- Coordinates with the appropriate sales rep when needed for qualified business opportunities
- Ensures alignment with overall sales strategies
- Understand the customer requirements and motivations to add or change supplier
- Maintain the required call logs and prospect list
- Other responsibilities as required
