Direct Support Professional/Skills Trainer-Sharon

Who We Are: At BILT, Inc., we provide personalized support to teens and adults who live at home and require assistance with increasing their independent living skills. The individuals in our programs do not have behavioral challenges that put staff at risk of harm, allowing for a supportive and safe working environment. We strive to provide enriching experiences for every person we work with, helping them reach their goals and improve their quality of life.Responsibilities: As a Skills Trainer (mainly assigned to Sharon area, with possibility to serve other areas), you will play a vital role in providing individuals with the guidance and tools they need to enhance their daily living skills and achieve greater independence. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, hygiene, household maintenance, food shopping, meal preparation, budgeting, and social skills development
• Providing ongoing support, role modeling, and guidance in improving personal responsibility, community living skills, and socialization
• Facilitating leisure activities and encouraging engagement in social and recreational activities
• Transporting individuals to appointments, work, and recreational outings
• Documenting daily notes on program participants' progress and any changes
• Attending review meetings, trainings, and other related appointments as required
• Other duties as required
  
  

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a background check (CORI)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude
• Flexibility; resourcefulness
  
  

Work Hours: We are currently seeking a candidate who is available weekdays and/or weekends, including being able to open to work 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm shift, per clients' needs.Why Join Us?
