As a Cook, you will:
- Be responsible for preparing hot and cold foods.
- Follow the philosophies of our Culinary Team, preparing our recipes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Comply with all sanitation and health department regulations.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness from shift commencement to close.
- Upkeep all inventory and use proper food rotation and culinary principal.
- Maintain the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork as per standards of service.
- Complete all duties and procedures as put forth by our Kitchen Management team.
- Have a "can-do" and upbeat attitude while providing support to the team.
- Be available to work PM shift and a flexible schedule which include weekends and holidays.
Essential Elements
We believe eating should be an elevated experience. From soups to sauces, the ideal addition to our kitchen team has complete knowledge of culinary customs and knows how to deliver. Successful candidates are team players, willing to pitch in to help wherever needed in the kitchen. Team members must be able to utilize and maintain Hilton standards in every function performed.
Education & Experience:
Degree in a Culinary program and/or at least two years of full-service restaurant of hotel kitchen experience preferred. Must have knowledge of buffet preparation, line cooking, soups, sauces, etc. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a hotel environment is a plus. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be flexible and willing to work wherever needed.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry at least 35 lbs. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and be able to walk, stoop and bend frequently. Must have tolerance to work with and around to hot grills, stoves, ovens, coolers and freezers. Be able to use cleaning solvents and detergents on a regular basis.
