Position Summary
Provide guests with consistent quality drinks up to the Biltmore luxury standard. Take pride and be very meticulous with the drinks prepared ensuring satisfaction in service dcor of the bar as well as the cleanliness of the area for guests and yourself. Consistently adhere to policies and procedures of The Biltmore as outlined in Biltmore Standard Operation Procedures (BSOP's).
Responsibilities
- Maintain positive guest relationships to ensure 100 % guest satisfaction.
- Offer our guest the highest levels of service and product knowledge.
- Maintain bar pars accurate at all times.
- Provide the highest levels of professionalism and enthusiasm toward guests, and co-workers.
- Take orders for drinks and food (Always take a party's complete drink order in one trip).
- Knows his / her bar menu well and be able to explain and suggest drinks.
- Place the order and ensure that drinks are served in the proper glass with the proper garnish.
- Ensure that the brand of liquor ordered is the brand served.
- Adheres to the drinking age policy, at all the time.
- Present each party with a separate check at the end of service.
- Maintenance of the highest levels of sanitation and safety in the workplace.
- Keep the bar and floors cleaned at all the time.
- Don't over pour alcohol, our standard measurements is 1 1 / 2 oz.
- Keep control of the bar at all times.
- Be careful with the guest that has over consumed drinks.
- Be familiar with liquor and wine selection, pricing, menus, presentation and preparation.
- Knowledge of and adherence to proper I.D procedures.
- Adherence to service standards as outlined in manuals.
- Daily reconciliation of sales and credit information.
- Completion of all assigned closing tasks pertinent to the server position.
- Declaration of earned gratuities in accordance with current governmental requirements.
- Immediate notification of a manager in the event of a problem, or the perception of a problem.
- The bartender position requires strong communication skills.
- An ability to juggle several tasks and the willingness and ability to complete paperwork.
- Responsible for an in depth knowledge of all food, beverages and bar recipe offered by the hotel.
- Adherence to the service sequence as outlined by management.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward both the guest and other staff members of the hotel.
- Responsible for drink service in bar area and prepare those for lounge and poolside.
- Keeping workstation clean, orderly and properly set with napkins and straws and garnishes.
