Job Description
Housekeepers work at the luxury hotel, the Inn at Biltmore. Level I Housekeepers must be able to clean guest rooms to the expected Biltmore standards, maintain speed requirements, and detailed cleanliness level, while offering exceptional guest service. Housekeepers will work in a team atmosphere.
Duties include: Following the detailed Biltmore standards and work procedures, performing daily upkeep and presentation of guest rooms and other locations as assigned; dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, bed making, and sanitizing bathrooms as well as responsibility for amenity replenishment. Duties may also include deep cleaning projects as required.
Housekeepers will also offer general assistance and support for the department, leadership, and the company.
Weekend availability is required for this position. Starting pay begins between $16.32-$17.60/hour based on previous hotel housekeeping experience. Shifts may vary, but are generally: Monday - Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (based on hotel occupancy)

Essential Job Duties:
1. Within 3 months of hire, complete daily assignments, averaging 12-13 rooms/suites a day, within standard times to clean, and with consistent performance to the standards.
2. Proper storage, replacement, and placement of all guest room amenities (coffee supplies, sewing kit, bathroom items), linens (duvet, towels), robes, etc.
3. Make up beds in guest rooms following Biltmore standards; dust and vacuum guest rooms, moving furniture as needed.
4. Promptly greet and assist guests with any needs according to Biltmore standards.
5. Proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals maintaining safety measures.
6. Cleaning and sanitizing of guest bathrooms, tubs/showers, mirrors, and windows, using proper chemicals. Emptying trash and recycling and disposing of properly.
7. Stocking, maintaining and cleaning the housekeeping cart.
8. Deep cleaning the rooms as necessary.
9. Complete all assignments to Biltmore standards; pass daily inspections with a quality audit score of 80% post-learning and training completion.
10. Gather and properly store all unused amenities & used Nespresso pods for recycling through sustainable initiatives.
11. Following established standards for lost and found items.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a similar custodial/janitorial/housekeeping position is preferred. Ability to read checklists and communicate effectively with team members and guests according to Biltmore's values and performance standards.
2. Commitment to delivering world-class guest service and the ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.
3. Ability to complete work in a systematic way, with attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions with consistent high quality, within established time standards.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
5. Ability to handle/operate safely small commercial cleaning equipment, chemicals, solutions, and treatments.
6. Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.
7. Should be able to anticipate and understand guest needs.
8. Ability to work independently and under deadlines, and exercise good judgment.
Physical Requirements: This position will require a physical exam at the Biltmore Clinic prior to starting work. An offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of this examination.
1. Lift and carry 50 pounds, push and pull 75 pounds frequently.
2. Ability to climb stairs and ladders and use cleaning equipment.
3. Endure various physical movements throughout work areas and over the duration of the work shift such as kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, etc.
