Job Description
Server Assistants/Dining Room Attendants will assist servers and supervisors in providing world class food and beverage service to guests courteously and efficiently maintaining FORBES Four (4) Star Standards. Responsibilities include: water service during all meals, bread and butter service, assist in delivering food and describing menu items & wine, resets tables to standards, stock and maintain all items needed for resets during work shift. The Dining Room Attendant (DRA) will also assist in the maintenance of the dining room, side stations, kitchen service areas, dish breakdown area and service equipment for cleanliness. ($17 - $23/hour or more based on business volume and including tips (minimum of $16.32/hr).
Schedule can vary, but is generally: 3:00pm-11:00pm. Weekend availability required
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a similar position is strongly preferred, particularly in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
2. Commitment to delivering world class guest service and the ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.
3. Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions with speed and accuracy.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.
5. Should be able to anticipate and understand guest needs, and follow up with them appropriately.
6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with deadlines, and exercise good judgment.
7. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Responsibilities include guest service pertaining to replenishing table items, anticipating and addressing guest needs, and clearing dining area according to restaurant procedures.
2. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all service procedures, established standards, company, and departmental policies.
3. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
4. Replaces soiled table linens, cleans tables, and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
5. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
6. Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
Physical Requirements:
1. Lift, carry, push and pull 25–50 pounds; lift and carry 25-30 pounds on a hand tray.
2. Endure various physical movements throughout work areas and over duration of work shift.
3. Ability to work in an environment that may include:
- Variable temperature conditions and noise levels
- Exposure to fumes, dust and chemicals
4. Ability to walk up and down steps while carrying trays.
Additional Responsibilities:
1 Will provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as required.
2. This position will be required to perform other responsibilities on occasion outside the of the primary duties listed herein, and will be expected to work in other positions in The Dining Room as business warrants and is assigned by Management. These include, and are not limited to food running and hosting.
