The Biltmore House Painter II oversees all painting projects. The Biltmore House Painter II is responsible for ordering materials for all painting projects. Biltmore House Painter II is also responsible for painting all types of surfaces, buildings, and other structural surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Other duties of this position include: removing old material from surfaces to be prepared, repairing the surface where needed, and working with outside contractors. The incumbent will also be responsible for communicating the status of projects to management. In addition, the painter II will provide general assistance and support to the Engineering department, leadership, and the company as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Oversees individual projects and assists outside contractors.
- Responsible for set up and completion of individual jobs.
- Ordering materials for all painting projects.
- Stripping and staining of wood surfaces.
- Preparation of surfaces and application of paint.
- Sheetrock finishing.
- Aiding in estimating job cost.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations. Responsible for the safety of the crew
- Monitor industry trends, make recommendations for changes or updates as needed.
- All physical requirements are considered essential job duties.
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times and anticipates guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Attend designated departmental and staff meetings.
- Recommend safety ideas; participate in fire prevention and other life safety programs.
- General assistance/support for leadership, the department, and company.
- High school diploma or GED required. Additional education, training, and/or
- At least four (4) years of formal experience in the painting trade required. Ideal candidate will have had prior experience working with both existing structures as well as new construction, preferably in a leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards, trends, new products, and
- Experience in hanging wallpaper and finishing floors strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal and external guest service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be comfortable clearly,
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and exercise good judgment a must; must be able to take direction well, follow through, and complete projects according to schedule and specifications.
- Solid organizational, planning, and project and time management skills, with a keen attention to details and quality.
- Exert physical effort in transporting 50 – 75 pounds frequently.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Reach, push, pull, bend and lift.
- Ability to remain in stationary or ambulatory positions throughout work shift. 5. Must have a valid driver's license and be 19 years old.
