Job Description
This is a mid-level staff position with responsibilities for plant installation, care, and maintenance in Estate gardens and landscapes. The Gardener II will work as part of a crew assigned to a specific section/area; crews are charged with design, presentation, and execution of gardening plan within established parameters. In addition, staff will assist with special projects and events as required.
Mon-Fri7:00am-3:30pm with occasional weekends
The general work schedule includes working a full 40 hours a week.
Full Time: a position working 32 hours per week. The starting pay range for this position begins at $17.09/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements
Note: Ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Woody plant material in Ornamental Landscapes.

Requirements:
- High school diploma. A two-year college degree and/or 2 years related on the job training. Industry acknowledged certifications and designations are preferred. B.S in Horticultural field preferred.
- At least two (2) years of related horticultural experience. The ideal candidate will
care/maintenance. A combination of education and experience may be
considered.
- Strong knowledge of annuals, perennials, herbaceous plants, and/or roses. Candidates
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with little
- Demonstrated commitment to providing world class guest service (internal and

- Ability to become WPS certified within 10 days of hire.

- Performs gardening duties including but not limited to: installing and maintaining
supervision.
- Prepares soils and compost as needed for planting with minimal supervision.
- Performs basic grounds maintenance duties including but not limited to: general

- Assists guests in a positive, courteous manner.
- Works in an efficient, productive manner.
