Title: Estimator

Reports To: Sales Management
Location: Greenwood, SC

Purpose:

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for modular home projects. This role works closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure precise and competitive bids that reflect the full scope of work, support planning, and drive customer satisfaction.

• Accurate pricing that supports successful sales and efficient project execution
• Competitive, well-informed bids that help BiltWise win and deliver projects effectively
• Strong collaboration across departments to support cost control and continuous improvement

Essential Functions:

• Analyze architectural plans and specifications to determine materials, labor, and equipment needs
• Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing proposals for modular home projects
• Obtain and manage up-to-date pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate scope and alignment
• Perform cost breakdowns and variance analyses to support budgeting and process improvements
• Maintain estimating databases and tools for consistent and reliable cost projections
• Prepare estimate summaries and contribute to bid presentations and project planning
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical construction documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with construction industry standards and estimating software
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors

• Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to factory conditions
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
