Overview:
We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeler specializing in plumbing systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a solid understanding of plumbing design and installation. This role will focus on creating detailed plumbing models and collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Modeling: Create and maintain detailed 3D models for plumbing systems using BIM software (e.g., Revit).
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to integrate plumbing designs with overall building systems.
- Quality Assurance: Review and validate models for accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project specifications.
- Documentation: Generate and maintain project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports.
- Coordination: Participate in clash detection and resolution to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems with other trades.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams during construction phases.
- Updates & Revisions: Implement design changes and updates as required, maintaining accurate records of modifications.
- Training & Development: Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and best practices in BIM and plumbing design.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing design and BIM modeling.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant BIM software. Familiarity with Navisworks is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in modeling and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
