Job Title: Election Security Expert
Location: Remote & On-site (as required for consultation sessions)
Job Description: We are looking for an Election Security Expert with experience in securing election processes and IT infrastructure. Training will include in-person sessions held across Iowa in cities such as Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Sioux City, and Council Bluffs. Locations will be coordinated with the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEMD) and the Secretary of State (SOS).
Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized election security guidance to training participants.
- Develop training content focused on securing election infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments for election officials on cybersecurity threats.
- Align training with the latest state and federal election security policies.
- Collaborate with trainers and IT specialists to customize training modules.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Political Science.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in election security or cybersecurity compliance.
- Certifications:
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Federal or state election security certifications (preferred)
