Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a designated production area. This role focuses on optimizing workflow, scheduling production activities, monitoring quality, and ensuring a safe and positive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Supervise daily operations, manage workflow, assign tasks, and ensure efficient production processes.
- Scheduling: Collaborate on scheduling, proactively address any issues, and coordinate schedules with team leads and staff.
- Reporting: Generate and review daily production reports, provide insights to management, and track key performance indicators.
- Quality Control: Ensure product quality meets specifications, enforce safety and quality standards, and address compliance issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in root cause analysis, propose improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Employee Relations: Cultivate a positive work environment, address employee concerns, and support diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Performance Management: Establish objectives, evaluate team performance, and offer coaching and support to team members.
- Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, participate in safety initiatives, and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in food manufacturing or a GMP environment; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a GMP setting required.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Lean Practices) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Oral and written proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams.
