What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printing Press Operator position at Binding Products?
Experienced Offset Press Operator
Needed to set up and run offset print jobs on small presses with no assistance. Presses include AB Dicks, Ryobis, and ITEK Perfectors. Must be able to monitor and adjust ink and water levels in presses during job runs, monitor print quality throughout the production process and make adjustments as needed, burn plates, load cover and paper into press as needed, and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on presses. Operator needs to be able to do the above on day 1 with no training nor assistance.
* In Person interview consists of setting up and running 1-2 jobs on a press with no assistance.
Operator will also be trained to run other equipment as needed including but not limited to Polar Cutter, Scott Tab equipment, and Kluge and other foil stamping and die cutting machines.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as an Offset Press Operator running these presses
2. Ability to adjust ink and water levels, load paper, keep a press running, and perform routine washups and maintenance with no assistance.
3. Ability to read and understand job tickets, and follow instructions
4. Must have reliable and short commute to Jersey City, NJ 07304:
Pay/Hours
Full-time. Pay: $20.00 -$23.00 per hour. Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
