Position Overview: The Estimator will be responsible for estimating the cost of construction projects, with a focus on commercial builds. This role will involve estimating construction projects and working with the project managers during the pre-construction phase. The ideal candidate will possess strong math skills and the ability to navigate specifications and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications
· Develops bids for construction projects
· Works closely with architects and other professionals
· Navigates and understands building codes
· Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction
· Assists Project Managers during the pre-construction phase with planning and development of construction timelines
Qualifications:
· At least 10 years as an Estimator in the construction industry
· Strong understanding of both residential and commercial construction processes
· Expertise in project planning and estimating
· Highly analytical with a focus on strategic, detail-oriented decision-making.
· Ability to handle complex problem-solving and adapt to changing project requirements.
· Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
