What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA/OR Housekeeper - Surgery position at Bingham Memorial Hospital?

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Post-Secondary degree/certification preferred.
Minimum Work Experience: 2 years related experience preferred
Required Licenses / Certifications: BLS certified CNA preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Understanding and following of hospital mission statement of high quality, high compassion, and high customer service. Works collaboratively and positively with surgical staff, anesthesia staff, physicians, and staff from other departments. Creation and maintenance of a safe and comfortable environment in which surgery can take place. The Surgery Aid will carry out functions that will provide the clean and aseptic condition that is required in the Operating Room. In addition, the Surgery Aid will perform duties that will assist in a smooth and efficient turnover in the Operating Room. The duties of the Surgery Aid, under the direction of the circulating nurse/team leader, Assistant OR manager, and the Surgical Services director, will include the following: 1. Routine cleaning of the entire surgery department. 2. Patient contact which will involve obtaining the patient from the floor and transporting the OR. 3. Instrument care including cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments. 4. Stocking various items in the department. 5. Answering the phone.
