Job Summary:
Bingham Healthcare Medical Group, a growing multi-disciplinary specialty group in Eastern Idaho, is seeking a Neuropsychologist to join our expanding mental health service line. This role focuses on neuropsychological evaluations and consultations to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning for patients in neurology, pain medicine, and other specialties. The position also includes opportunities to provide outpatient therapy services. Key Responsibilities:
- Neuropsychological Testing and Diagnosis:
- Perform comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for cognitive, behavioral, and neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injuries, stroke, dementia, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Provide diagnostic impressions and recommendations that guide treatment planning in collaboration with neurology, pain medicine, and other specialties.
- Interpret test results and generate detailed reports for patients, referring physicians, and healthcare teams.
- Consultation and Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with neurologists, primary care providers, and pain management specialists to create integrated care plans.
- Provide consultations to help medical teams understand the cognitive and emotional aspects of medical conditions.
- Offer guidance on rehabilitation strategies and support services for patients and families.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide short-term and long-term therapy to patients with neurological conditions and cognitive impairments.
- Use evidence-based approaches to address emotional challenges associated with chronic illness, cognitive decline, and brain injury.
- Program Development and Community Outreach:
- Assist in the development of programs supporting neurological and cognitive health within the clinic and community.
- Participate in outreach activities to promote awareness of neuropsychological services and brain health education.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with specialized training in Neuropsychology from an accredited program.
- Licensure:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Idaho, with neuropsychology specialization.
- Experience:
- Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology or equivalent experience.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary medical teams is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in neuropsychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong analytical skills for test interpretation and report writing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with medical teams and patient families.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation standards.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus but not required.
