Job Title: Supply Chain Assistant

Job Summary: Bingham and Taylor is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant for a 90-day temporary role to support administrative tasks within the supply chain team. This position requires strong computer literacy, communication skills, and attention to detail to assist with purchase order processing, supplier communication, order tracking, and reporting. Based on performance, there may be an opportunity to discuss a long-term role. Fluency in English is required for this position, as effective communication is essential for successful job performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and issue purchase orders (POs) based on requisitions.
- Track and confirm order acknowledgments from suppliers.
- Follow up on order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution.
- Assist in coordinating supplier responses and maintaining updated records.
- Monitor open orders and follow up on delayed shipments.
- Coordinate with internal teams to address supply disruptions.
- Assist in generating reports on open POs, order accuracy, and supplier performance.
- Identify potential order discrepancies and escalate as needed.
- Support RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities by gathering supplier quotes and summarizing pricing comparisons.
- Work with internal teams to ensure materials arrive in time for production needs.
- Communicate updates to internal stakeholders regarding expected delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with logistics providers to track shipments and resolve transportation issues.
- Assist in preparing presentations or reports for procurement meetings.
- Help document and standardize procurement processes to improve efficiency.
- Assist in coordinating meetings, supplier visits, and team updates as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous administrative experience required (preferably in supply chain or procurement).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional supplier correspondence.
- Basic math skills for order tracking and analysis.
- Ability to meet standard physical requirements listed in job descriptions.
- English proficiency required.
