What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Binks US LLC?
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of machines -- CNC, automatic screw, dial, and in-line transfer -- to produce required product(s) according to specifications/ prints.
- Maintains tooling while operating machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or work from verbal and/or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted.
- Determine specifications for inspection of work using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during, and after machining.
- Change tooling and/or tool holders to maintain machine settings to produce a quality product throughout production.
- Lubricate machines daily or as needed.
- Maintain appropriate KanBan records, levels, etc.
- As required, palletize material coming to the machine from the preceding operation.
- Maintain neat and orderly work area.
- Remove chips and shavings as needed and place them into the hopper or lugger provided.
- Perform other related responsibilities as needed and as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to prioritize work and work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must be able to read and utilize the following measuring instruments: 6 to 12" scale, vernier calipers, and comparator.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform simple to moderate mathematical calculations.
- Three (3) to five (5) years prior successful experience operating CNC lathes, CNC drills, and washers.
- Skill and ability to operate machines precisely with a high degree of attention to make quality products and safely perform jobs.
