What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director OEM/Resale Procurement position at Bio-Rad Laboratories?
As Head of Global OEM/Resale Procurement, you will be responsible for the coordination as well as the management and control of all procurement activities/material fields related to OEM and Resale 3rd Part spend.
The Person will be a key member of the Global Procurement team and report directly to the VP Global Procurement. You will be a key business partner in the product development lifecycle working closely with Marketing, Commercial, & R&D to drive innovation to the product portfolio.
This individual will provide direct knowledge and success in execution of world-class global procurement processes, systems, and tools. They will demonstrate leadership to give vision, strategy and direction as well as driving daily process execution using lean tools.
How You’ll Make An Impact:
Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies across all OEM/REsale categories aligned with the Company’s goals, considering market trends, technological advancements, and cost-effective sourcing
Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee the global OEM/Resale procurement operations, ensuring a smooth flow of materials, managing inventory levels, and mitigating risks associated with disruptions in the supply chain.
Cost Management: Implement cost-effective measures, conduct cost analysis, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or performance.
Responsible for development and execution of annual OEM/Resale productivity roadmap. Key Metrics will be OEM/Resale savings (PPV & MCP), project savings funnel delivery– to include size and quality of funnel, project OTD, spend coverage and procurement process throughput.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to address them, ensuring minimal impact on production and delivery schedules.
Supplier Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish performance metrics to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, setting objectives, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
Ensure robust internal communication and collaboration with other departments, in particular the Business Units and Corporate Functions.
What You Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science or Supply Chain with 10+ years of supply chain and procurement experience. Advanced degree such as an MBA (or Masters/PhD in a related discipline) is preferred.
Work Experience: 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain function or related experience in manufacturing/operations in med-tech, FDA/ISO or similar regulated industry.
Related experience to include 6+ years of leading people.
Prior experience in a Lean or Six sigma Culture and ability to drive sustainable results using CI tools.
Proven track record to work cross-functionally and within a matrix to achieve business results.
Salary : $169,000 - $233,000
